CKDCF funds homeless support for young Cumbrians
The CKDCF has donated £1,000 to Whitehaven Community Trust to help support the young people in its hostel. The donation will be used to fund a support worker, who will offer advice to young residents. CKDCF helps youth theatre with running costs
The CKDCF has donated £1,000 to Rosehill Youth Theatre, which will be used to cover the organisation’s running costs. Rosehill Youth Theatre is a volunteer-run amateur dramatic group for children and young adults, staging their own productions of well-known musicals in Whitehaven’s Solway Hall. October Event to move online again for 2021
Due to the uncertainty surrounding public health restrictions and international travel, the 2021 October Event in Cumbria, England has been cancelled. CKDCF donates £3,000 to fund sight loss support
The CKDCF has donated £3,000 to West Cumbria Society for the Blind. The annual donation helps fund a support worker to work with Cumbrian children and young people with visual impairments. Marie Scott received the CKDCF cheque on behalf of the Society. Thursday 1 April 2021
